Dance is a powerful way to lift both physical health and spirit.
These sessions are designed for adults over 60, or with movement and balance issues - to enjoy moving, connect with others, and grow in confidence.

Dance for Wellbeing

Location: Durning Hall, Earlham Grove, E7 9AB
Durning Hall is a fully accessible building
These sessions are inclusively developed for adults facing mobility or balance challenges. This may include individuals recovering from a stroke, living with arthritis or Parkinson's, or those rehabilitating after a hip/knee replacement.
Movements are adapted for both seated and standing participants.
Walking aids and wheelchairs are welcome
Participants must be able to travel to and from the Forest Gate venue independently, as transport is not provided.
What to expect?
We move at a pace that suits the people in the room, creating a sens of grounding before we explore the space.
Warm-up: Chair-based minfulness leading into a physical warm-up
Dance: Rhythmic moving and creative dance explorations
Cool down: Mindful stretches and relaxation to end the session
Increased energy, strength, and coordination
Improve memory and movement range
Boost confidnce and self-esteem
Build local community connections and support
